Speech Tips: 5 Things Everyone Should Know

1. Delivery counts.
You may have prepared the most impressive words, but if you are fidgety or nervous, it counteracts the productivity of your message. Be confidant.

2. Looks matter.
For some reason, people trust attractive people more. If you don't have looks going for you, at least look presentable. Dress professionally. Shower.

3. Don't read your speech.
Be enough of an expert on the material that you can speak from your heart. Have a few note cards if you need a cue to guide you to your next point.

4. Talk about what matters.
If you don't believe what you say, you will have a hard time persuading others to believe that way too.

5. Be ethical.
If you always stay true to your moral and legal principals, you leave less in your life to regret. This goes for the tactics you take to persuade people to a particular belief.
